A simple product site with limited data collection.
The Home Briefing is currently a public beta. It does not provide user accounts, comments, checkout or email capture.
Information processed
The Home Briefing does not ask visitors to submit personal information in the current beta. The hosting platform may process limited technical information—such as IP address, browser type and request logs—where necessary to deliver and secure the site.
Fonts
The site requests fonts from Google Fonts. Loading those fonts sends technical request information to Google; its own privacy terms apply. The site remains readable with fallback fonts if they do not load.
External links
Product links lead to third-party manufacturer websites. Those websites operate under their own privacy, cookie and commerce policies. The Home Briefing does not control their collection or use of information.
Your analytics choice
Google Analytics is optional. Its tag does not load until you choose “Allow analytics”; choosing “Essential only” leaves analytics off. Both choices let you use the entire site. The “Privacy choices” control in the footer lets you change your choice. We remember that choice on this browser for up to 180 days using local storage. If your browser blocks that storage, the choice applies only to the current page. We also keep analytics off when the browser sends Global Privacy Control or Do Not Track.
What optional analytics measures
After consent, Google Analytics measures page visits, comparison and finder actions, calculator use and product-link clicks. Events may include the product category, product ID, merchant domain, the selected preset budget or priority, and the number of results. We do not include free-text searches, room dimensions, appliance energy measurements, calculator results, emails, URL queries or URL fragments in these events. Referrer information is limited to its origin, without its path or query. Google also receives technical connection and device information needed to process a visit and uses analytics cookies to distinguish browsers and sessions.
Analytics cookies use the homespec_ga prefix, stay on this site's hostname, and are configured for up to 180 days. Advertising storage, ad personalization and Google signals are disabled. Automatic enhanced measurement is off; the site sends its own limited events. Read how Google uses information from sites that use its services.
Changing your choice
Choose “Essential only” in “Privacy choices” to stop future analytics collection and remove this site's accessible analytics cookies. If analytics was already running, the page reloads to stop its tag; in-page comparison selections may reset. Withdrawing consent does not delete data already processed by Google. Browser settings can also remove stored site data.
Product tools and merchant links
Search text, raw calculator inputs and ordinary comparison selections are processed in your browser and are not retained by The Home Briefing. Comparison links can contain product IDs or a calculated threshold in their URL fragment; those identify products or a sizing requirement, not a visitor. Your browser history may retain these links. Manufacturer links remain direct and have no affiliate tracking. The destination website's own privacy and cookie policies apply.
Changes
This notice reflects the optional analytics release of 20 September 2026. It will be reviewed as The Home Briefing adds categories or commercial features.
